Meet the herd
We have an eclectic mix of horses that we love to get out on the trails, horse camp, work cows and compete in an occasional extreme cowboy race with when work and the weather permit. Here’s a little something about the whole family:
Cisco: The Ugly Duckling
We rescued Cisco from a Canadian PMU farm when he was 6 months old based on one picture that was posted online. It was a big risk, but I just couldn’t resist that face. Luckily, with a lot of time spent studying the Parelli’s and Anderson’s of the world, we ended up with a horse that may be too smart for his own good, but one that I can’t live without. |
Rohan: An Unlikely Cowhorse
Ah, the baby of the family. Believe it or not, Andrew and Rohan can hold their own in the cattle sorting pen and make a pretty mean gate holding team. They also shocked the heck out of Craig Cameron when they performed roll-backs on the fence with the rest of the quarter horses half his size at a four day clinic we had the opportunity to attend.

Bugs: The Princess
Bugs is the only girl in the herd, and boy does she know it. She takes advantage of the gullible boys any time she can (those of you with mares know exactly what I mean.) But she is still a sweetheart, and my go-to horse when it comes to cow work and speed.
